University Bursary

The General Employees’ Co-operative Credit Union Limited (GECCU) will be awarding five (5) bursaries valued at $3,000.00 each.


ABOUT US

GECCU is the largest credit union in St. Vincent and the Grenadines in operation since July 14th 1964. We are a member-owned cooperative financial institution operating from six branches across St. Vincent and the Grenadines.


WHO CAN APPLY?

  • Members of GECCU who have made regular payments to shares and loan with a minimum share balance of $1,500.00. Applicants must be a member for a minimum of two (2) years.
  • Members of GECCU who are nationals/citizen of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and have been accepted or enrolled in a course of study in any of the programme levels listed below.


PROGRAMME LEVEL:

  • Post-secondary (Community College)
  • Undergraduate Studies
  • Post Graduate (Master’s & Doctoral)

AREAS OF STUDY
Awards will be granted in any area of study.


SELECTION PROCEDURE
Selection will be based on the following:

  • Academic performance
  • Financial Need
  • Demonstrated capacity to complete course of study.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrate academic – GPA of 3.0 and above
  • Proof of financial ability to complete studies (recent salary slip/employment letter, approved loan, savings)
  • Applicants enrolled in a programme of study must submit academic transcripts.
  • New students must submit copies of CSEC/GCE O’Level or CAPE A’level results along with the requisite certification for approved course of study.


TENURE
The bursary shall be for a period of two (2) semesters. The continuation of the bursary shall be subject to satisfactory academic progress.


SUBMISSION DEADLINE
Completed application forms along with academic transcripts, letters of recommendation (character and professional) and proof of financial ability must be submitted to any of GECCU’s offices no later than September 5, 2025.


Applications received without the required supporting documents would not be considered.
